I’m wondering if there are any desktop publishing sites. There are plenty of online office sites like Google Docs, Zoho, ThinkFree, etc. which have word processors, spreadsheets and presentation apps. But I’m looking for something with similar functionality to MS Publisher, Adobe InDesign, or Scribus. Something that I can layout and design a custom document (ie. menu, business cards, tickets, posters, etc) and maybe export it as a .PDF or .EPS document. Does such a thing exist?

I just got a new Mac, and I used to use Office for Mac 2004. What MS Word alternatives?

admin Google Docs, Zoho Writer, ThinkFree
iWork, OpenOffice, and if there are any others? The only reason I don’t like the online suites Google Docs, Zoho, and Think Free is that I write huge documents and they don’t allow uploads greater than 500KB, at least on Google Docs. IF anyone knows of an online writer or word document editor that allows much more storage, more like 10MB per document, let me know!
What is the difference between a netbook and a note book?

admin I am looking to getting a netbook for myself I would mostly use it for school. This is what I got as a description, 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, 1GB DDR2 533 SDRAM, and 160GB hard drive, it’s got all the speed and storage you need on the go. The Webcam and 802.11b/g WLAN allow you to catch up and conduct business from any location, and the multi-in-one card reader makes it easy to transfer data to and from your main PC. From Acer.
The 4GB USB flash drive helps save hard drive space, loaded with fun and helpful software titles like Greeting Card Factory Express 7, Sudoku Puzzle Addict, ThinkFree Office 3, and many more.

Will you consider using alternatives to Microsoft Office? If so, what would you use for an online word?
June 27th, 2010
admin Just checking the pulse on the new online application alternatives to Microsoft Office. It seems like there are a few to choose from. Beyond OpenOffice.org from Sun, it seems there are a few new players like Zoho Writer, Thinkfree and Google Docs. Would you consider using them? And if not, why not?
